Retropalooza 2026

On March 28-29th 2026, the Blitz team set up our booth for the Retropalooza convention at the Pasadena Convention Center in Texas. The team had a great time experiencing Retropalooza for the first time. Retropalooza is an annual event which features retro games, YouTube personalities, game tournaments, and contests.

In addition to offering games at the booth, the Blitz team launched the Gym Leader badge challenge for the first time. 8 people participated in this challenge where they attempted to do more push ups or squats versus a selected Blitz team member. The Blitz team plans to continue this challenge in the future.

The team's very own Tainaka Aya served as a judge for the cosplay contest at Retropalooza. There were many impressive cosplays at the convention and selecting the best cosplays in various categories was a difficult task. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to craft and wear their cosplays at the convention.

At the end of the convention, the team was awarded the Best Artist award. Receiving this award was a great honor for the team. The Blitz team will continue to work hard to fundraise for Lupus and raise awareness in honor of Monica and everyone else who suffers from Lupus.

The team greatly thanks everyone who visited the booth, donated, and tried out the Gym Leader badge challenge. Together we can fight to end Lupus and improve our fitness!
