Welcome to The BLITZ Team, a vibrant non-profit born from a deep friendship and a shared commitment to honor the memory of our beloved friend lost to lupus. What began as a heartfelt tribute has blossomed into a spirited community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by this challenging autoimmune disease.

Our journey began with a group of friends united by grief and a desire to channel our sorrow into something positive. Inspired by the passions of our dear friends, we embarked on a mission to celebrate life and spread joy through the very things that brought them happiness: pop culture, cosplay, and video games.

At The BLITZ Team, we believe in the power of honoring one’s passions. Our events and initiatives reflect the unwavering spirit of our friends, serving as a colorful tapestry of fandoms, creativity, and camaraderie. From cosplay conventions to online streaming and fun, each gathering is infused with love, laughter, and a sense of purpose for helping others.

Valentine’s Day is considered a day to celebrate love. For The members of The BLITZ Team, Valentine’s Day is the anniversary of the passing of our dear friend and family, Monica Tan. On that day, she left this world too soon due to complications with her auto-immune disease. From this tragedy, we found ourselves now driven by a deep-seated commitment to support individuals and families grappling with lupus and other non-visibile auto-immune illnesses. Through our fundraising efforts and pop culture community outreach, we strive to raise awareness, give donations, and provide a fun, comforting environment for people who are suffering on the inside. For those who wish to attend cosplay shows, anime conventions, and video game tournaments, or just wish to somehow be part of the fun even when your body won’t allow you to leave the house (just as Monica’s did), The BLITZ Team is a group that supports YOU! And with that, we strive to bring the fun of pop culture and anime to you via online events, streaming, and content through our social media.

Valentine’s Day is the day we spread our love for you. Every year on Valentine’s Day, it is The BLITZ Team’s goal to donate all proceeds from the previous year to lupus research foundations!
